Press Release - Sentencing of Zachary Martindell

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Zachary Martindell, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on December 15, 2017.
     Martindell, age 26 of Hopatcong, was sentenced to one year of probation.  He was ordered to attend five AA meetings per week, make substantial efforts to obtain his associate degree, maintain employment, and pay fines and fees totaling $1,205.00.  
     He pled guilty on October 2, 2017, to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime.
     He was in possession of heroin on November 12, 2016, in Hopatcong.
     Martindell was represented by Joseph Corazza, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
