Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Carlos Guerrero, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on December 8, 2017.
Guerrero, age 24 of Paterson, was sentenced to two years of probation with credit for six days of jail time served. He was ordered to submit to a TASC evaluation at the discretion of probation, complete 75 hours of community service work, and pay fines and fees totaling $1,105.00.
He pled guilty on October 16, 2017, to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime.
The defendant was in possession of heroin on March 5, 2016, in Sparta.
Guerrero was represented by Erik Hassing, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Magdalen Czykier.
