     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on December 6, 2017, by Richard Taylor.

 

     Taylor, age 55 of Byram, pled guilty to Shoplifting, a fourth degree crime.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for January 26, 2018. 

 

     In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to taking merchandise from the Frogmore Country Store in Byram on June 6, 2016. 

 

     The case was investigated by Patrolman Robert Schellhammer of the Byram Police Department. 

 

     Taylor was represented by William J. Oake, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Magdalen Czykier.
