Press Release - Plea of Zachary Martindell

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on October 2, 2017, by Zachary Martindell.
     Martindell, age 25 of Hopatcong, pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for December 15, 2017. 
     On November 12, 2016, Hopatcong Police officers responded to Quick Chek based on a report of a suspicious vehicle.  In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to being in possession of heroin.
     The case was investigated by Patrolman Christopher Lotito of the Hopatcong Police Department. 
     Martindell was represented by Joseph Corazza, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent Rafuse.
