Press Release - Sentencing of Amanda Wilgus

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Amanda Wilgus, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on December 15, 2017.
Wilgus, age 22, of Andover, was sentenced to 3 years probation on the conditions that she completes a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations, continue treatment, and pay restitution in the amount of $751 and all court fines and fees.
She pled guilty on October 16, 2017, to third degree Theft by Unlawful Taking.
The defendant stole several rings from a friend’s residence and then sold them.
Wilgus was represented by Thomas Militano, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
