Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Nachelle Stewart, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on September 22, 2017.
Stewart, age 51 of Newton, was sentenced to 180 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility and one year of probation. She was ordered to submit a DNA sample at her own expense and pay fines and fees totaling $155.00.
She pled guilty on July 31, 2017, to Driving While License is Suspended, a fourth degree crime.
On May 25, 2016, the defendant drove while her driver license was suspended for a third offense of Driving While Intoxicated.
Stewart was represented by Shaun Morgan Russell, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Stephanie LaCarrubba.
