Press Release - Plea of Dana Rost

Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to accusations before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on August 21, 2017, by Dana Rost.
Rost, age 27 of Hopatcong, pled guilty to Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card and Theft, both third degree crimes, and Contempt, a fourth degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for October 6, 2017.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to using a stolen credit card to make purchases on April 9, 2017, in Hopatcong and Mt. Arlington. She also admitted to taking items from a Hopatcong home on May 6, 2017, and to violating a condition of a Pretrial Release Order on July 18, 2017.
The cases were investigated by Sgt. Ryan Tracey, Sgt. James Bianculli, Ptl. Richard Bosland, Ptl. Daniel Kern, and Ptl. James Still of the Hopatcong Police Department.
Rost was represented by Shaun Morgan Russell, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
