Wirths, Vetrano To Lead Sussex County Freeholder Board For 2008

The Sussex County Board of Chosen Freeholders has unanimously elected Harold (Hal) J. Wirths and Glen Vetrano to serve as Director and Deputy Director, respectively, of the Board in 2008.

WIRTHS, VETRANO TO LEAD SUSSEX COUNTY FREEHOLDER BOARD FOR 2008


The Sussex County Board of Chosen Freeholders has unanimously elected Harold (Hal) J. Wirths and Glen Vetrano to serve as Director and Deputy Director, respectively, of the Board in 2008. Director Wirths has served as County Freeholder since November, 2000, while Deputy Director Vetrano served from March, 2000 to November, 2000, resuming as County Freeholder in February, 2002 to the present.

The actions took place during the Freeholder Board’s Annual Re-Organization Meeting held at the Sussex County Judicial Complex on January 4, 2008, before a large crowd of family, friends, and well-wishers.

Newly-elected Freeholder Jeffrey A. Parrott, a resident of Wantage Township, took his oath of office for the first time at the Re-Organization Meeting.

Sussex County Sheriff Robert E. Untig also took his oath of office on January 4 to begin his seventh term as County Sheriff. Also taking her oath of office was Sussex County Clerk Erma Gormley who will begin her third term in that position.

Regular meetings of the Board of Chosen Freeholders are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays (unless otherwise noticed) at 5:00 p.m., at the Sussex County Administrative Center, One Spring Street, Newton, New Jersey. The public is invited to attend.
