As of March 1st, patrons have access to the new 3M collection of eBooks and eAudiobooks with the ability to check out up to 6 titles and place 4 holds. The 3M Cloud Library replaces the current Overdrive service offered through DigitalLibraryNJ (DLNJ), of which the Sussex County Library System is a partner. Initially, new and popular titles will be available, and a number of older titles will be added with the anticipated transfer of titles from the Overdrive service to the 3M service over the next two months.

The new 3M Cloud Library will work easily with Apple, Android and Windows devices. Some e-readers like the Nook and Kobo will be supported, but may require syncing using a USB cord through a PC or Mac. The Kindle Fire will require sideloading of the 3M Cloud Library app. It will not work with Kindle Paperwhites and first-generation (pre-Kindle Fire) Kindles.

Please contact the library or check the library's website (www.sussexcountylibrary.org external link) if you need assistance with the 3M app. You can find links to the apps and additional supported device information on the 3M website (www.3m.com/us/library/eBook external link).

The Sussex County Main Library has a Technology and Device Support Group which meets twice monthly. Stop into these programs for assistance with the library's e-services. Please visit the library's program calendar external link for details.
