Newton, NJ- August 20, 2014: From Silly Science with Miss Beverly at Main Library to Art Therapy Sculpting at the Franklin branch, every day brings something new to the Sussex County Library System.

There are activities for all ages from Lap Sit programs for kids as young as 6 months, to Beginners Yoga, a gentle class for adults of all ages. The SCLS is also excited to present their first-ever mini Maker Faire being held September 19 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Sussex-Wantage branch. The Faire will feature stations that allow participants to create traditional objects in whole new ways. The hands-on exhibits will include mini computers, gardening, textiles, video game production, puppet making and more.

September is also Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when the SCLS joins with the American Library Association and public libraries nationwide to make sure that every student has the most important school supply of all - a free library card. In addition to great books, music, movies and more available to borrow, an SCLS library card also gives students 24 hour access to educational databases and Rocket Languages, a dynamic and interactive way to improve foreign language skills beyond the classroom.

To learn more about the many resources and programs the SCLS has to offer stop by your local branch or check out the website at www.sussexcountylibrary.org .
