Now is the time for Medicare recipients to review Plan changes and compare options that will best meet their needs in 2012.

Medicare Assistance

(Newton, NJ) The Sussex County Department of Human Services, Division of Senior Services, will provide free one-on-one assistance during the Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan Annual Open Enrollment Period, October 15 through December 7, 2011. There will be 19 "Part D" programs conducted at several convenient locations throughout the County including Frankford, Franklin, Vernon, Sparta, Stanhope, and Newton. Medicare beneficiaries will have the opportunity to meet with a trained State Health Insurance Assistance Program SHIP Counselor to review the Medicare Plan Finder and obtain the needed information to make an informed decision.

Every year adjustments are made to prescription drug plans as to what they cost and what they cover. Now is the time for Medicare recipients to review Plan changes and compare options that will best meet their needs in 2012. Those who do not currently have prescription drug coverage can also enroll in a drug plan during "open enrollment."
