Sussex County Firemen's Association Inspection Day and Parade
The Annual Sussex County Firemen's Association Inspection Day & Parade will be hosted by Hampton Township Fire Department on Saturday, October 4, 2014 with step-off promptly at 1:00 p.m. Trophies will be awarded afterwards for Marching, Apparatus and Hose Laying competitions. Both in-county and out-of-county guest departments and EMS squads are eligible for trophies. The parade will also include invited dignitaries and guests.
Hose Laying Competition will be held one week prior on September 27th at 11 a.m. at Lowes in Hampton Township.

20. Andover Township
21. Sandyston Township
22. Green Township
23. Byram Township
25. Highland Lakes
26. Pochuck Valley
Line-up will be in the "Stone Rows Development" on Logan Way and Garrett Drive. The parade will begin on Garret Drive, right onto Halsey Road, continue straight onto Branchville-Lawson Road, right onto Kings Road, left onto Halsey Road, left onto Rumsey Way with the parade ending at the Hampton Township Park. The reviewing stand will be on Halsey Road near the entrance to Kittatinny Regional High School.
Public parking will be at Kittatinny High School, shuttle buses will bring department members to the parade line-up, as well as drop spectators off along the route for viewing.
Among the invited Guest Companies this year are: Sussex County Fire Academy, NJ Forest Fire Service, Belvidere Fire Department, Boonton Fire Department, Delaware Twp PA Fire Department, Fisher IN Fire Department, Hampton Boro Fire Company #1, Marshalls Creek PA Fire Department, Milford Fire Department & EMS, Netcong Fire Department, Unionville NY Minisink Hose Co. #1, Upper Nazareth PA Fire Department; plus many marching bands and color guards as well as antique cars belonging to members of the Wanderer's Car Club who transport our invited dignitaries.
Many man-hours go into preparing apparatus for competition and this is the day our volunteer firefighters show pride among themselves and our communities for what they do all year long - year after year.
