PUT “LIFE” BACK INTO LIVING BY “TAKING CONTROL OF YOUR HEALTH!”

 PUT “LIFE” BACK INTO LIVING BY “TAKING CONTROL OF YOUR HEALTH!”
(Newton, NJ)             Adults dealing with long term health-related conditions, as well as caregivers of loved ones who experience these challenges, are invited to participate in “TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR HEALTH,” a FREE six-week workshop series sponsored by the Sussex County Department of Human Services, Division of Senior Services. During the 2 ½ hour sessions each week, participants will learn how to alleviate pain and fatigue, deal with difficult emotions, develop healthy eating and safe exercising habits, communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, and basically, “get more out of life.” The program includes a manual, “Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions.”
“TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR HEALTH” is offered at a variety of locations throughout Sussex County. The current schedule includes:     Liberty Towers, Newton, NJ., on Tuesdays, September 21 through October 26, 2010, from 2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.;   Lafayette Municipal Building, Lafayette, NJ, on Mondays, September 20 through November 1 , 2010, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.; and  Littell Community Center, Franklin, NJ, on Fridays, September 24 through October 29, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Space is limited. Register today!   Contact the Sussex County Department of Human Services, Division of Seniors Services at 973-579-0555 or seniorservices@sussex.nj.us for additional information or to register for a program near you.
