Press Release - Plea of Bryan Peine

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 19, 2018, by Bryan Peine.
     Peine, age 30, of Lafayette, New Jersey, pled guilty to one (1) count of Hindering Apprehension, a third degree crime. On October 22, 2017, Peine allowed a friend to borrow his motorcycle and when he learned that his friend was involved in a chase with police, Peine reported the motorcycle stolen and attempted to conceal his friend’s identity. Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 27, 2018.
     Peine was represented by Thomas F. Militano, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Shaina Brenner.
