Press Release - Plea of Nicholas Fondaco

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on January 8, 2018, by Nicholas Fondaco.
     Fondaco, age 25 of Long Valley, pled guilty to Hindering Apprehension, a fourth degree crime.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for February 23, 2018.
     In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to giving a false name to a police officer in order to avoid arrest on June 21, 2017.
     The case was investigated by Sergeant Ryan Tracey and Patrolman Daniel Kern of the Hopatcong Police Department.
     Fondaco was represented by Thomas Militano, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
