Press Release - Sentencing of Charles Harms

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Charles Harms, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on December 15, 2017.
 
     Harms, age 54, of Newton, was sentenced to 365 days in New Jersey State Prison with 180 days parole ineligibility.  He must also pay court fines and fees and submit a DNA sample.   
 
     He pled guilty on October 10, 2017 to Driving While Suspended for a Second or Subsequent DWI and violating his current probation. 
 
     The defendant was driving with a suspended license for a second or subsequent DWI when stopped by Andover Township Police for a motor vehicle violation.  

     Harms was represented by Robert J. Ferb, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
