Press Release - Plea and Sentencing of John Rivera

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea and sentence before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on December 4, 2017, by John Rivera.
     Rivera, age 21, of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, pled guilty to one (1) count of criminal mischief and one (1) count of contempt of a final restraining order, both disorderly persons offenses. Rivera was sentenced to 2 years probation and was credited with 7 days time served. He was also ordered to pay $600 in restitution and mandatory fines and fees.
     Rivera was represented by Shaun Morgan Russell, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Stephanie C. LaCarrubba.
