Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Haider Khan, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on November 17, 2017.
Khan, age 20 of Parlin, New Jersey was sentenced to three years of probation and was given credit for 15 days of time served. He was ordered to submit a DNA sample at his own expense and pay restitution of $143.92 and fines and fees totaling $270.00.
He pled guilty on August 28, 2017, to Burglary and Use of a Stolen Credit Card, both third degree crimes.
The defendant entered a parked car in Newton and used a stolen credit card to make purchases on May 21, 2017.
Khan was represented by William Oake, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Jerome Neidhardt.
