Press Release - Plea of Darian M. Perkins

September 8, 2017

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on September 7, 2017 by Darian M. Perkins.
 
     Perkins, age 21, of Sussex, pled guilty to four (4) counts of third degree Burglary, two (2) counts of third degree Theft and one (1) count of fourth degree Theft.  Sentencing is presently scheduled for October 27, 2017.
 
     The defendant admitted to burglarizing the Sussex Borough DPW garage, taking various items from the garage.  He also admitted to breaking into the sheds and garages of various Wantage Township and Sussex Borough residents taking items such has lawn mowers, leaf blowers, snow blowers, saws and various other yard tools. All of these crimes 
were committed over a period of several days in May, 2017.
 
     Perkins was represented by Thomas Militano, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
