Press Release - Sentencing of Sean Jackson

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Sean Jackson, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on August 1, 2017.
     Jackson, age 49 of Camden, was sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison with an 18 month period of parole ineligibility and credit for 226 days of time served.  He was ordered to provide a DNA sample at his own expense and pay joint and several restitution totaling $814.10 and fines and fees totaling $965.00.
     He pled guilty on April 19, 2017, to Theft, a third degree crime, two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, third degree crimes, three counts of Burglary, third degree crimes, and Receiving Stolen Property, a fourth degree crime. 
     The defendant took property from an individual’s car in Newton on November 11, 2016.  Defendant also admitted that he and his co-defendant agreed to enter a vehicle in Andover Boro on December 12, 2016, and two vehicles in Andover Township on December 17 and 18, 2016, without the owners’ permission.  Defendant also received property that he knew was stolen on December 18, 2016, in Andover Township.
     Jackson was represented by Leanne Healy, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
