Press Release - Sentencing of Kevin Acosta

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Kevin Acosta, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on July 28, 2017.
     Acosta, age 21 of Clifton, was sentenced to three years of probation with credit for 285 days time-served.  He was ordered to pay fines and fees totaling $155.00.
     He pled guilty on June 27, 2017, to Attempted Criminal Trespass, a fourth degree crime.
     On May 19, 2016, Acosta attempted to enter two homes in Hopatcong. 
     Acosta was represented by Steven Insley, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
