Free Fun For All at the Sussex County Libraries

Newton, NJ - Between holiday expenses and high heating bills December can be one of the most expensive months of the year. Take a break from the cost and the cold by visiting your local Sussex County Branch Library where there's always plenty to do, and it's all free.

Start the month learning to make 3d snowflakes at the Dennis Branch, December 1 at 4:00 p.m. On Tuesday, December 2, kids in Kindergarten through grade six are invited to the Main Library to make stuff do things when the creative Young Makers Group meets at 4:00 p.m. Come mid-week you can relax with Beginner's Yoga at Main Library at 11:00 a.m. and end the night learning new quilting techniques at the Sussex-Wantage Branch at 7:00 p.m. For parents with teens in high school there will be a College Funding Seminar at the Louise Childs Branch on December 9 at 7:00 p.m. Wrapping up the year with a bang, the Dennis, Dorothy Henry and Louise Childs Branches will each host a New Year's Eve Prep Party (December 30 at 1:30 p.m.) to show kids in Kindergarten through third grade how to make noisemakers and festive snacks.
