National Public Health Week

National Public Health Week (NPHW) is April 6th to April 12th!.  This week is dedicated to "recognizing the contributions of public health and highlighting issues important to improving the public's health". The event is organized by the American Public Health Association (APHA), which uses the week to educate the public, policy makers and practitioners about issues related to public health since 1995. This year's theme is "Building a Foundation for a Healthy America," and will focus on raising awareness, both nationally and locally, about the importance of a strong public health infrastructure, especially at a time when health care reform is a top priority among policy makers.
