Press Release - Plea of Curt Rosenfeld

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on May 8, 2017, by Curt Rosenfeld.

     Rosenfeld, age 31 of Hopatcong, pled guilty to Providing False Reports to a Law Enforcement Officer, a fourth degree crime, and Driving While Suspended, a motor vehicle offense.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for June 23, 2017.

    On November 20, 2015, a Sparta Police officer stopped the defendant for a motor vehicle violation.  In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to providing the officer with a false driver license number and to driving with a suspended driver license.

     The case was investigated by Ptl. C. Grauerholz of the Sparta Township Police Department.

     Rosenfeld was represented by Steven Insley, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
