Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced that the Sussex County Grand Jury handed up an indictment to the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C., at the courthouse in Newton on May 4, 2017.
The indictment charges Robert A. Loller, Jr., age 39 of Hamburg, NJ with the second-degree official misconduct, second-degree possession of a handgun with the purpose to use it unlawfully against another, second-degree burglary, third-degree terroristic threats, and fourth-degree possession of large capacity magazines. The indictment also charges Erica N. Williams, age 23, with third-degree aggravated assault on a police office, third-degree resisting arrest and fourth-degree obstruction.
The case was presented to the Grand Jury by First Assistant Prosecutor Gregory R. Mueller. Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will be within the next 6 weeks.
A Grand Jury indictment is a charge only. The defendant is presumed innocent until guilt may be proved.
