Press Release - Plea of Sean Jackson

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on April 19, 2017, by Sean Jackson.

     Jackson, age 49 of Camden, pled guilty to Theft, a third degree crime, two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, third degree crimes, three counts of Burglary, third degree crimes, and Receiving Stolen Property, a fourth degree crime.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for June 16, 2017.

     In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to taking property from an individual’s car in Newton on November 11, 2016.  Defendant also admitted that he and his co-defendant agreed to enter a vehicle in Andover Boro on December 12, 2016, and two vehicles in Andover Township on December 17 and 18, 2016, without the owners’ permission.  Defendant also admitted to receiving property that he knew was stolen on December 18, 2016, in Andover Township.

     The cases were investigated by Patrolman. J. Flanagan of the Newton Police Department, Trooper J. Celi of the New Jersey State Police, and Officer E. Diklich of the Andover Police Department.

     Jackson was represented by Leanne Healy, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
