Press Release - Sentencing of Jesus Fabian

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Jesus Fabian, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on April 7, 2017.

     Fabian, age 29 of Bronx, New York, was sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison.  He was ordered to make restitution in the amount of $939.96 and fines and fees totaling $405.00.  

     He pled guilty on February 27, 2017, to two counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, a third degree crime, and Theft by Deception, a third degree crime. 

      The defendant conducted two credit card purchases on December 21, 2014, at the Newton Kohls using credit cards in the names of other individuals for merchandise totaling $1,255.76.

     Fabian was represented by Janine Cerra, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Magdalen Czykier.
