     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Robert Lutz, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 24, 2017.

     Lutz, age 33 of Sussex, was sentenced to four years of probation with jail credit of 19 days.  He was ordered to submit to a TASC evaluation and follow any and all recommendations made from same, participate in the DECIDE program and drug monitoring, attend three NA/AA meetings per week, report to Probation twice per week, have no contact with victims, obtain and maintain employment, cooperate in the prosecution of co-defendants, make restitution of $13,280.57, and pay fines and fees totaling $590.00.

     He pled guilty on December 12, 2016, to two counts of Criminal Trespass, a fourth degree crime, Forgery, a third degree crime, Uttering a Forged Instrument, a third degree crime, and to five Violations of Probation.

     In Wantage in September 2011, he forged a personal check of an individual for $3,000.00 without their authorization.  In Sussex Borough in August 2016, he trespassed at a building on Main Street and in September he trespassed at an apartment building on Grant Street.

     Lutz was represented by Shepard Kays, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Shaina Brenner.
