Press Release - Sentencing of Mario Giorgi

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Mario Giorgi, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 23, 2017.

     Giorgi, age 51 of Kintnersville, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to four years of probation and ordered to complete 60 days in the Sheriff’s Labor Assistance Program, submit a DNA sample at his own expense, complete 400 hours of community service work, make restitution totaling $6,954.32 and pay fines and fees totaling $2,855.00.

     He pled guilty on January 4, 2017, to Burglary, a third degree crime, Theft, a third degree crime, and Criminal Mischief, a fourth degree crime.

     On February 17, 2013, the defendant entered the Lafayette Mills Antique Center in Lafayette Township, stole various antique items, and caused damage to the property while doing so.

     Giorgi was represented by Kenneth Glynn, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
