Press Release - Plea of Pedro Rodriguez

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 20, 2017, by Pedro Rodriguez.

     Rodriguez, age 60 of Middletown, New York, pled guilty to Driving While Suspended, a fourth degree crime.  Sentencing is presently anticipated for May 12, 2017.

     In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to operating a motor vehicle in Sparta Township on September 25, 2016, while his driver license was suspended for a second Driving While Intoxicated conviction.

     The case was investigated by Patrolman Chris Favaro of the Sparta Township Police Department.

     Rodriguez was represented by Mitchell Ansell, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
