Press Release - Sentencing of Brandon Blenis

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Brandon Blenis, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on February 3, 2017.

     Blenis, age 33 of Vernon, NJ, was sentenced to four (4) years of probation and 300 hours of community service.  Blenis was also ordered to pay mandatory fines and fees.

     Blenis pled guilty on November 14, 2016 to one (1) count of Contempt, a fourth degree offense, one (1) count of Throwing Bodily Fluid at a law enforcement officer, a fourth degree offense and one (1) count of Under the Influence of CDS, a disorderly persons offense.

     On January 5, 2016, Blenis was arrested after violating a temporary restraining order.

     Blenis was represented by Anthony P. Alfano, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Stephanie C. LaCarrubba.
