Voters have until Tuesday, Jan. 15, to register to vote in the New Jersey presidential primary election.
Any U. S. citizen who is 18 years of age on or before Feb. 5, the date of the presidential primary election, may register to vote, as long as he or she is not incarcerated, on parole or on probation because of a conviction for an indictable offense.
To register to vote in Sussex County a person must have resided in the county 30 days before the election.
Only the names of Republican presidential candidates and Democratic presidential candidates and their respective delegates will appear on the Feb. 5 primary ballot.
An individual may register to vote by completing a registration application form, which is available at the Sussex County Board of Elections and on the Board of Elections web site.
Forms are also available at any municipal clerk's office.
