Join the Sussex County Medical Reserve Corps

Sussex County’s Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a group of volunteers who are vital to the County’s ability to respond to wide-scale public health emergencies and events such as a disease outbreak, bio-terrorism attack, or other hazardous situations that put people at risk.

(Newton, N.J., January 3, 2008) After September 11, 2001, America witnessed an outpouring of selflessness and heroism. People in every corner of the country asked “What can I do?” and “How can I help?” The Sussex County Medical Reserve Corps was created to help answer these questions. Sussex County’s Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a group of volunteers who are vital to the County’s ability to respond to wide-scale public health emergencies and events such as a disease outbreak, bio-terrorism attack, or other hazardous situations that put people at risk. The MRC needs volunteers to join a response team that can be ready at a moment’s notice to protect our community during public health emergencies. Both medically trained (physicians, registered nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, clinical social workers, mental health counselors, radiologic technologists, respiratory therapists, clinical laboratory technologists, and technicians & licensed practical nurses) and non-medical support staff are needed.
