Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Jessica Lawless, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on June 16, 2017.
Lawless, age 27 of Hopatcong, was sentenced to three years of probation concurrent with her Morris County Probation. She was ordered to complete 100 hours of community service work, submit to a TASC evaluation and follow any and all recommendations made from same, continue to attend NA/AA meetings, submit a DNA sample at her own expense, and pay fines and fees totaling $1,205.00. If successful, she may request early release after two years.
She pled guilty on April 10, 2017, to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime.
On February 6, 2017, the defendant’s vehicle was stopped in Andover Township for motor vehicle violations. The defendant was in possession of four bags of crack cocaine.
