     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on May 15, 2017 by Melissa Maher.

     Maher, age 30, of Matamoras, PA, pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a crime of the third degree. Sentencing is presently scheduled for July 7, 2017.

 

     The defendant admitted that she was in possession of Heroin when she was turning herself in to the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office for an outstanding warrant.

     Maher was represented by Steven Insley, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
