Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Brienne Fitzsimmons who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on April 21, 2017.
Fitzsimmons, age 30 of Hackettstown, was sentenced to three years of probation. She was ordered to submit to a TASC evaluation and follow any and all recommendations made from same, attend AA/NA meetings two times per week, complete her treatment program, submit a DNA sample at her own expense, and pay fines and fees totaling $1,205.00.
She pled guilty on February 14, 2017, to Attempt to Obtain a Controlled Dangerous Substance by Fraud, a third degree crime.
The defendant called in and tried to pick up a fraudulent prescription from the Stop and Shop Pharmacy in Sparta on November 12, 2016.
Fitzsimmons was represented by Remi Spencer, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
