Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on April 10, 2017, by Patrick Shevlin.
Shevlin, age 27 of Montague, pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for May 26, 2017.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to being in possession of 50 wax folds of heroin on September 20, 2016, in Montague.
The case was investigated by Sgt. M. K. Verheeck of the New Jersey State Police.
Shevlin was represented by Steven Insley, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
