Press Release - Sentencing of James Rosenski

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of James Rosenski, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 10, 2017.

     Rosenski, age 47 of Hampton, was sentenced to 270 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility for Driving While Suspended for a Second or Subsequent DWI violation, a fourth degree crime, to run concurrently with 180 days in jail for the motor vehicle offenses of Driving While Intoxicated.  He must serve 180 days before being eligible for parole.  His driver license was ordered suspended for ten years, and he must utilize an ignition interlock device for three years, submit a DNA sample at his own expense, and pay fines and fees totaling $2,508.00.

     He pled guilty on December 19, 2016, to Driving While Suspended for a Second or Subsequent DWI Violation, a fourth degree crime, and the motor vehicle offenses of Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit to a Breath Test.

     The defendant was driving while intoxicated in Hampton Township on March 17, 2016, while his license was suspended for prior Driving While Intoxicated convictions.

     Rosenski was represented by Steven Insley, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Laura Nazzaro.
