Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on March 13, 2017, by Amanda Conklin.
Conklin, age 33 of Vernon, pled guilty to Unlawful Taking of a Means of Conveyance, a fourth degree crime, and Failure to Turn Over a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a disorderly persons offense. Sentencing is presently anticipated for April 21, 2017.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to taking her mother’s car without permission and having three paper folds containing heroin residue.
The case was investigated by Ptl. Jason Mangano of the Vernon Township Police Department.
Conklin was represented by Steven Insley, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
