Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Joshua Buttacavole, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on February 24, 2017.
Buttacavole, age 20 of Lodi, New Jersey, was sentenced to 5 years probation with 10 days SLAP (Sheriff’s Labor Assistance Program) as a condition, 90 days of Community Service to be completed at a hospital or rehabilitation center, 3 month driver’s license suspension, letter of apology to the victims, any new motor vehicle offenses would constitute a violation of probation, completion of a driver improvement course every year the Defendant is on probation, fines and fees, and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $3,450.00 to a victim.
He pled guilty on January 9, 2017, to one count of Assault by Auto, a fourth degree crime, one count of Unsworn Falsification, a fourth degree crime, and one count of Assault by Auto, a disorderly persons offence.
