Press Release - Sentencing of Richard Regan

     Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Richard Regan, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on January 27, 2017.

     Regan, age 43 of Newton, was sentenced to two years of probation and 180 days in jail with credit for five days served.  He was ordered to pay fines and fees totaling $155.00.

     He pled guilty on December 12, 2016, to Driving While Suspended for a second or subsequent suspension for Driving While Intoxicated, a fourth degree crime.

     On December 2, 2015, he drove a motor vehicle on Newton-Sparta Road in Andover Township while his license was suspended for a second or subsequent violation of Driving While Intoxicated.

     Regan was represented by Richard Baldi, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Seana Pappas.
