Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on January 25, 2017, by Cornelius Hill.
Hill, age 38 of Newton, pled guilty to three counts of Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for March 3, 2017.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted that on February 1, 2013, February 4, 2013, and September 21, 2016, he distributed controlled dangerous substances including controlled prescription medications, crack cocaine, and heroin in Newton.
The cases were investigated by detectives of the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force.
Hill was represented by Steven Kossup, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr., and Assistant Prosecutor Jerome Neidhardt.
