Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an indictment before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on January 23, 2017, by Tonia Pittenger.
Pittenger, age 48 of Newton, pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime. Sentencing is presently anticipated for March 10, 2017.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to being in possession of heroin on April 11, 2016, in Fredon Township.
The case was investigated by Trooper D. Thomas of the New Jersey State Police.
Pittenger was represented by Steven Insley, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
