Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Krystal Rossi, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on January 13, 2017.
Rossi, age 29 of Newton, was sentenced to two years of probation. She was ordered to complete 90 hours of community service, submit a handwritten 250 word letter of apology to the victim within 30 days, make restitution of $375.49 and pay fines and fees totaling $155.00. If she satisfactorily completes the conditions of probation and incurs no drug-related charges, she may apply for early release after twelve months.
She pled guilty on December 8, 2016, to Shoplifting, a fourth degree crime.
She took items from the Walmart in Hampton without paying for them on ten different occasions.
Rossi was represented by Steven Insley, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent Rafuse.
