? Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of James Conklin, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on December 16, 2016.
Conklin, age 36, of Newton, New Jersey, was sentenced to three years New Jersey State Prison on two counts, Jail Credit for 160 Days, $50 VCCO, $75 SNSF, $30 LEOTEF, on both charges. Community Supervision for Life converted to Parole Supervision for Life immediately upon release.
He pled guilty on October 17, 2016, to one count of Violation of Special Sentence (Community Supervision for Life) (a Third Degree Crime) and one count of Absconding from Parole (a Third Degree Crime).
Conklin was represented by Leanne M. Healy, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Laura L. Nazzaro.
