Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on November 30, 2016, by Robert Agresta.
Agresta, age 53 of Newton, pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a third degree crime, and to the motor vehicle offenses of No Insurance, Driving While Suspended and Unregistered Vehicle. Sentencing is presently anticipated for January 6, 2017.
On May 7, 2016, the defendant was stopped for a motor vehicle violation. In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to possessing 160 wax folds of heroin and to driving while suspended in an unregistered, uninsured vehicle.
The case was investigated by Patrolman Richard Smith of the Sparta Police Department. Agresta was represented by Leanne Healy, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
