Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Matthew Fedroff, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on November 18, 2016.
Fedroff, age 36 of Hamburg, was sentenced to four years of probation and 364 days in jail. He received a jail credit of 94 days. He was ordered to submit to a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations made from same, provide a DNA sample at his own expense, and pay fines and fees totaling $1,330.00.
He pled guilty on October 11, 2016, to Unauthorized Practice of Medicine, a third degree crime, and Attempt to Obtain a Controlled Dangerous Substance by Fraud, a third degree crime.
The defendant posed as a doctor on May 24, 2016, in Franklin, and phoned in a fraudulent prescription for Xanax to the Shop Rite Pharmacy.
Fedroff was represented by Thomas Militano, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
