Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Kaseem Harris, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on October 28, 2016.
Harris, age 27 of Wharton, NJ, was sentenced to one (1) year of probation. Harris was also ordered to pay mandatory fines and fees.
Harris pled guilty on September 12, 2016 to one (1) count of resisting arrest, a fourth degree crime.
On June 12, 2016, Harris was arrested after he violated a domestic violence final restraining order and tried to prevent a law enforcement officer from arresting him.
The case was investigated by Ptl. Maresca of the Hopatcong Police Department.
Harris was represented by Janine M. Cerra, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Sally Anne Monkemeier.
