Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Sarah Brown, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on October 21, 2016.
Brown, age 33 of Wantage, was sentenced to three years probation with credit for two days’ time served. She was ordered to complete 200 hours of community service, submit a DNA sample at her own expense, and pay restitution of $2,155.99 and fines and fees.
She pled guilty on September 12, 2016, to Theft, a third degree crime.
She took funds for personal use from an account she was employed to maintain.
Brown was represented by Leanne Healy, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Laura Nazzaro.
