Sussex County Prosecutor Francis A. Koch announced the sentencing of Doris Herrmann, who appeared before the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on October 20, 2016.
Herrmann, age 37 of Passaic, was sentenced to three years of probation. She was ordered to complete 100 hours of community service work, pay restitution of $4,302.93, obtain her GED, and pay fines and fees totaling $280.00.
She pled guilty on May 23, 2016, to Conspiracy and Theft, both third degree crimes.
She conspired with her co-defendant and agreed to obtain possession of a check issued to another and to fraudulently convert same to their own use.
Herrmann was represented by Janine Cerra, Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Donald F. Cox, Jr.
